It has been a while since I’ve shared an update on what I’ve been working on. Much of last year was spent researching literary agents and putting together a query package for Divine Legacy. I had originally planned to self-publish my Witches of Griffin series, but I’ve decided to see if I can pique an agent’s interest in taking on the series instead. Fingers crossed!
I also launched the first book in my new Echoes of Eternity series. Timestream is now available on Amazon in ebook and paperback formats, and I’m currently tweaking book two, Cosmic Retrieval, for its July 14th release.
Countless hours went into editing the books and reworking the back covers. I spent days trying to perfect the blurb for Timestream. It was crazy, I’d think, “Yes, this is it. I finally have it right,” then resubmit it, only to realize it still wasn’t quite there. Then I’d have to wait for it to clear through KDP before editing it again. Let’s just say it was a process.
Cosmic Retrieval is now available for preorder on Amazon ahead of its July 14th release.
Beyond the books themselves, I’ve written articles based on my research, created ads and slideshows to market both my new releases and backlist titles, and launched a newsletter where readers can sign up for exclusive content. (link)
My website has also undergone a major update. I absolutely love the Homepage and all its moving parts. My daughter did all the beautiful work on my site, and while I may be biased, I honestly haven’t seen an author website that looks better.
On a personal front, the day before Easter, a massive oak tree fell onto the house. The damage was extensive, but thankfully no one was injured. My son had to dive out his bedroom doorway as huge branches crashed into his room and the kitchen below. The air-conditioner was flattened like a pancake, but thankfully our insurance and the workers from Paul Davis have installed a new one as we move toward summer.

Since it’s spring, I am prepping seeds again, but this year my seedlings keep dying, which is frustrating. It will be interesting to see what I actually end up with this season. I see a trip to Bordine’s in my future.
